Queer Prom Teens

Queer Prom Teens is a teen lead group that puts on events for LGBTQ+ youth and allies, ages 13-18, in Missoula and surrounding areas. Some of our recent events include a Bob Ross paint along, a Mardi Gras murder mystery party, a trivia/bingo night complete with drag performer emcees, a pumpkin carving contest and a movie at The Roxy.

The teens that lead this group are part of our Queer Prom Teen Committee. These committee members help make decisions on everything from what monthly events we will be having to what the theme of next year’s Queer Prom will be!

Email us for more in about participating in teen events or being part of the Queer Prom Teen Committee.

Be You Crew, Youth Forward, & MT G.S.A Network

EmpowerMT creates a more just and inclusive society by developing youth and adult leaders who work to end mistreatment, correct systemic inequities, and strengthen communities across Montana and beyond. Two community groups are offered through EmpowerMT --Be You Crew for 5th-8th grade LGBTQ+ and allies and Youth Forward for 9th-12th grade LGBTQ+ youth. EmpowerMT is also the Montana statewide coordinator with the National GSA Network and provides resources for how to start and facilitate a GSA club in your school or community. The GSA Network is a next-generation racial and gender justice organization, co-conspiring with queer, trans, and two-spirit youth. Together, we advocate, organize, and mobilize an intersectional movement for safer schools, healthier communities, and transformative world-building.
