Halle (1)_edited.png

Crime Victim Advocate

Halle Smith (they/them) grew up in Missoula and spent time in Massachusetts and Oregon, where they began their Master of Social Work at Portland State University. Halle brings 5 years of domestic violence advocacy to their work and hopes to eventually combine domestic violence advocacy for LGBTQ+ survivors with farming and growing food. Halle believes that the lived experiences of survivors should be the driving force behind domestic violence advocacy and policy and is excited to join The Center as part of their MSW practicum.

During their time at The Center (Thursdays 12-2pm), Halle will offer individual advocacy, resource referrals, information about legal procedures regarding temporary orders of protection, and safety planning for LGBTQ+ survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence.
